DUAL AIR-FLOW
Radiant Air
Radiant air flow releases heat evenly into the room out of the top grill of the combustion heater. The air enters the heater from a cavity in the back of the bottom wall piece and heats up around the combustion inside the firebox. Increasing the overall heat output of the fireplace. |
Secondary Burning
The incorporation of secondary burning increases clean burning efficiency of fuel used in the fire. Air enters the heater via the air vent at the front of the bottom wall piece. After fire combustion in the chamber, Secondary air enters through slots in the side panels and emissions exit around the secondary burning shaft and out the flew. Air flows from the top of the firebox down the glass screen to avoid fogging display. An air vent slider is incorporated into the base piece for heat adjustment |
DOOR MECHANISM
The 4-Point Linkage system is mounted near the back of the firebox for maximum height and space for fuel loading. The over weighted counterweight leaves the door risen for safe user operation to prevent it falling down while being interacted with. A sliding slot allows the counterweight to arc close to vertically, reducing the width required for the beam cavity connecting the two linkages together. The hinge is fixed in two places onto the back of the door keeping it parallel at all times.
DOOR SEAL AND LOCKING MECHANISM
The sliding handle on the door activates the locking and seal mechanism hidden behind 2mm steel plate backing mounted to the glass. The L-Shape handle acts as an affordance for to grab with your thumb your in an optimum position for sliding. The handle is located at the bottom of the fireplace
and protrudes from the glass to reduce heat conduction and be safe to touch at all times. A dual CAM system at the top and the bottom of the mechanism tightens the door seal against a fibre glass rope evenly to prevent air leakage and decreasing efficiency.
